Sarah Sears joined the Fulbright Association as senior director, membership in September, 2011 and serves as the primary contact for all membership-related programs. Prior to joining the association, Ms. Sears served as director of membership programs for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and assistant director of marketing for TeacherLine – a grant project with the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). She has also served as a management associate and credit analyst for AmSouth Bank and assistant client representative for Media Services, Inc. (a division of Southern Progress Corporation).
A graduate of Rhodes College with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and sociology, Ms. Sears studied abroad in Canada and has traveled throughout the world. She holds professional certificates in the association management field from The George Washington University and The University of Virginia. In 2007-2008, Ms. Sears was chosen for the Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Executives and Professionals. She achieved her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and serves on the ASAE Greater Washington committee.
