Chapters: Philadelphia/Delaware Valley wall: Dear Philadelphia area Fulbrighters:
The Fulbright Association of Greater Philadelphia - Delaware Valley invites you to join us on a trip to the Gettysburg National Battlefield on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Gettysburg was the site of perhaps the most significant battle of the American Civil War where the Union Army cut off and defeated the Confederate Army as it advanced into Union territory for the second time of the war. The trip departs from Philadelphia's 30th Street Station at 8:00 AM. It includes round-trip coach bus transportation, admission to the Gettysburg National Battlefield museum, film, and cyclorama experience, a guided battlefield tour, and dinner at Shady Maple Smorgasbord on the way back to Philadelphia. We anticipate returning to Philadelphia at approximately 8:00PM. Participants should plan for a day that includes some walking around the battlefield and should either pack a bag lunch or plan to purchase a light lunch at the cafe in the Gettysburg Visitor's Center.
The trip is open to anyone associated with the Fulbright Association of Greater Philadelphia - Delaware Valley. Visiting Fulbright grantees are particularly encouraged to attend! Please RSVP through EVENTBRITE (Click Here) to hold your spot for this trip to Gettysburg no later than April 12.
We hope to see you there!
