The Wisconsin Chapter of the Fulbright Association is a state-wide, non-profit organization designed to advocate, promote, support, and advocate for Fulbright programs of international education and cultural exchange. The Chapter provides hospitality and enrichment and outreach activities for foreign Fulbright students, teachers, and scholars during their stay in the United States as a means to promote international understanding. The Chapter It also facilitates the involvement of American Fulbright Alumni in its mission and various activities especially outreach and advocacy for Fulbright programs.

The Fulbright Association is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and chapters are tax exempt under a group tax exemption ruling. The Association is incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia. Chapters apply for and receive charters, approve Bylaws, and enter into Affiliation Agreements to maintain their affiliation with the national organization and to receive services and benefits from the national office.
