The Western New York/Northwest Pennsylvania Chapter of the Fulbright Association is a very active chapter that encompasses a wide geographic territory from Erie, Pennsylvania to Rochester, New York. We work hard to be an advocate for the Fulbright programs and promote the ideals they represent. Our chapter generally holds two major meetings each year - one in the Fall semester and one in the Spring semester. We rotate among the various universities in the area to allow for maximum participation. The goals of these meeting are to give the opportunity for Fulbrighters to share their experiences and inform others about Fulbright opportunities.

The Fulbright Association is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and chapters are tax exempt under a group tax exemption ruling. The Association is incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia. Chapters apply for and receive charters, approve Bylaws, and enter into Affiliation Agreements to maintain their affiliation with the national organization and to receive services and benefits from the national office.
We know that as a volunteer it can be difficult to navigate the paperwork required to maintain your chapter’s affiliation with the Fulbright Association. Please find below all of the necessary forms to be completed at various points through the year.
