Tennessee Chapter's Miission Statement:

  • Welcome Fulbright students and scholars to Tennessee campuses
  • Connect Fulbright Students and Scholars with programs representing American culture
  • Promote Mutual understanding among visiting fulbrighters, former Fulbrighters and American Counterparts
  • Multiply opportunuties for future connection and collaboration of Fulbright students and scholars in the United States and Abroad
  • Network with Fulbright Alumni in Tennessee

The Fulbright Association is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and chapters are tax exempt under a group tax exemption ruling. The Association is incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia. Chapters apply for and receive charters, approve Bylaws, and enter into Affiliation Agreements to maintain their affiliation with the national organization and to receive services and benefits from the national office.
