Since its inception in 2005, the Seven Rivers Region Chapter of the Fulbright Association has sought to be inclusive in its activities and in its encouragement for professionals from across the region (Western Wisconsin, Northeastern Iowa, and Southeastern Minnesota) to become involved in the Fulbright experience. Drawing on the establishment of the premier global exchange opportunity in 1946 by an act of Congress, Senator J. William Fulbright stipulated that the experience “aims to bring a little more knowledge, a little more reason, and a little more compassion into world affairs, and thereby to increase the chance that nations will learn to live in peace and friendship.”

The Fulbright Association is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and chapters are tax exempt under a group tax exemption ruling. The Association is incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia. Chapters apply for and receive charters, approve Bylaws, and enter into Affiliation Agreements to maintain their affiliation with the national organization and to receive services and benefits from the national office.
We know that as a volunteer it can be difficult to navigate the paperwork required to maintain your chapter’s affiliation with the Fulbright Association. Please find below all of the necessary forms to be completed at various points through the year.
