Massachusetts Chapter

Welcome to the Massachusetts Chapter page! If you currently live within our chapter area and are not receiving event invitations, please take a moment to join the Fulbright Association here.

The Massachusetts Chapter Fulbright alumni form a community of people interested in strengthening and increasing the Fulbright Association's goals. We provide cultural, social and educational opportunities for Fulbright alumni, students, scholars, teachers and others who wish to further peace through understanding. We sponsor a multitude of events that we hope fosters cross-cultural interaction such as tours of local museums or historical sites and casual gatherings over drinks or a meal at area locales. Because we are in an environment with a multitude of institutions of higher learning, we are able to draw from a rich pool of people who have a lot to share. While we offer some annual staples--our casual lunches at the end of each semester--we pride ourselves on a diverse mix of events each year.

The Fulbright Association is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and chapters are tax exempt under a group tax exemption ruling. The Association is incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia. Chapters apply for and receive charters, approve Bylaws, and enter into Affiliation Agreements to maintain their affiliation with the national organization and to receive services and benefits from the national office.

We know that as a volunteer it can be difficult to navigate the paperwork required to maintain your chapter’s affiliation with the Fulbright Association. Please find below all of the necessary forms to be completed at various points through the year.
