Institutional Membership in the Fulbright Association is open to colleges and universities, international education organizations, and other entities that support the Fulbright Program and its ideal of mutual understanding among the people of the world and our work to keep available Fulbright Program opportunities for future generations. Institutional Membership entitles institutions to special recognition as supporters of the Fulbright Program and of international education.

Events and Invitations
The J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding recognizes extraordinary contributions made by individuals in any part of the world to increasing mutual understanding and cooperation among people. Fulbright Association Institutional Members are recognized in the Fulbright Prize ceremony invitation sent to national and international leaders, decision makers, and other dignitaries, as well as Fulbright alumni, State Department personnel, university presidents, and the diplomatic corps. Institutional Members receive VIP invitations to the Fulbright Prize Ceremony.
The Fulbright Association Annual Conference brings together Fulbright alumni and international education supporters from around the world to discuss major issues confronting society and the role of the Fulbright Program and international education in solving them.
Each Year the Fulbright Association’s 47 chapters hold over 170 events and activities. Many of them take place on the campuses of Institutional Members, bringing increased visibility to our Institutional Members, showcasing their international activities, and raising awareness of Fulbright Program opportunities for students, faculty, and teachers.
News and Publications
Institutional Members receive updates on legislative and policy issues affecting the Fulbright Program and on ways to take effective action on the program's behalf through the Fulbright Association’s website.
Institutional Members receive a complimentary copy of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB) Annual Report on the Fulbright Program, the single most comprehensive source of information on Fulbright exchanges.
“Fulbright in…” publications highlight regional Fulbright information and Institutional Members represented by the Fulbright alumni, current visiting Fulbrighters, and recently selected U.S. grantees in various U.S. jurisdictions.
Fulbright Alumni Networks
Institutional Members may post their Fulbright success stories and recent news items and to announce job or volunteer opportunities on their campuses. Each month the Association “spotlights” an Institutional Member.
The Fulbright Association’s member community allows Institutional Members to reach Fulbright alumni and students, scholars, and teachers visiting the site for information on fellowships, study abroad, job opportunities, international education news, and more.
