J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding
Nomination Process
Nominations for the 2012 J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding are now closed
- Nominations are open to the public.
- Individuals, groups, or organizations in any field may be nominated.
- The Fulbright Association encourages nominations that recognize
achievements promoting international understanding through the arts and
humanities, the sciences, community development, NGOs, and business, and
other fields, as well as through politics, diplomacy, or international
relations.
To increase the pool of nominations, to engage more members in the
nominations process, and to promote diversity in the pool of candidates,
the Fulbright Association has created a nominations process that
enables you to make your own nomination directly or to review
information on potential candidates generated by the Association’s Board
of Directors and to nominate one of those candidates. Individuals may
nominate multiple candidates through either or both nominations
processes. The Selection Committee is not apprised as to which process
generated specific nominations.
