Individual Member Benefits
The Fulbright Association is the private, nonprofit
membership organization of Fulbright Program alumni and friends. The
Association is dedicated to promoting the flagship program for
international educational and cultural exchange, enriching the
experiences of visiting Fulbright students, teachers, and scholars in
their host communities throughout the United States, and fostering a
global network of Fulbright alumni.

Annual Conference: The Fulbright Association hosts an annual conference in the fall of every year. Fulbrighters are encouraged to attend to present their research, network with colleagues, and hear inspiring speakers.
Chapters: Become
a member today to explore leadership opportunities in a chapter in your
area and to participate in chapter programs. The association supports a
system of 58 chapters in 37 states and the District of Columbia.
Chapters offer educational, cultural, and social programs for alumni and
visiting Fulbrighters. And members attend chapter events at reduced
registration rates!
National Events: Enjoy special member invitations to the internationally recognized
Fulbright Prize ceremony and the Fulbright Lifetime Achievement Medal
Dinner. Present your work and collaborate with colleagues at our
national conference. As a member, you get a reduced registration rate ,
too!
Advocacy: Take
action on issues that affect the Fulbright Program by responding to our
advocacy alerts e-mailed directly to your inbox. Share your words with
us so we can continue to be your voice on Capitol Hill.
Institutional Member Benefits
Institutional Membership in the
Fulbright Association is open to colleges and universities,
international education organizations, and other entities that support
the Fulbright Program and its ideal of mutual understanding among the
people of the world and our work to keep available Fulbright Program
opportunities for future generations. Institutional
Membership entitles institutions to special recognition as supporters
of the Fulbright Program and of international education.
Website Recognition: All institutional members are listed on our website as
members and as supporters of the Fulbright program and international education, with a link to the institution's website.
Social Media: We "like" and "follow" all our
institutional members on Facebook and Twitter, promote institutional member programs and recognize events.
Special Events: All institutional members receive special invitations to
events like the J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding and the Lifetime Achievement Awards
and are recognized on each event's program book.
Chapters: Each Year the Fulbright Association’s 58 chapters hold
over 200 events and activities. Many of them take place on the campuses of
Institutional Members, bringing increased visibility to our Institutional
Members, showcasing their international activities, and raising awareness of
Fulbright Program opportunities for students, faculty, and teachers.
News and Publications: Institutional Members receive updates on legislative and
policy issues affecting the Fulbright Program and on ways to take effective
action on the program's behalf through the Fulbright Association’s
website. The institution will also
receive our monthly e-newsletter with the latest Fulbright news and events.
Alumni Network: Most importantly, institutional members have access to our network of alumni, allowing Institutional Members to reach
Fulbright alumni and students, scholars, and teachers visiting the site
for information on fellowships, study abroad, job opportunities,
international education news, and more.
